So I’m on a break from school, and it turns out that when I’m not crazy stressed, I have the creative energy to make delicious dinners! This is not so much a solid recipe, as a general guideline.
Cook pasta, thaw prawns, while also warming the rest in a pan. Cut the lemon thin, add a little zest, and a bit of the juice. Add spices of your choice. I went with a pinch of thyme, rosemary, basil, oregano, salt & pepper, ground up in my hands. Add prawns and cook. Throw in pasta and mix up! This was the perfect warm day dinner. Yum.
I’m not sure I have anything horribly important to say, I just wanted to say hello to this desolate little blog again :) I suppose the end of the year makes one introspective – I think I may take some time later to just sit in a sunny room and fill up a couple journal pages. First I suppose I should finish some tidying, to go into the new year with a fresh start and relaxed feelings. 2015 will certainly be busy enough with school, then wedding planning, and maybe even (finally) a trip for just us to somewhere beautiful! But for one more minute I will sit here and enjoy my tea, and watch a pair of cute cats sleep :)
This Friday marks the end of my first semester in school for graphic design. Bet you though that would never happen! I finished my “One sheet of paper” project. I plan to add some projects to a portfolio during winter break, but for now, have these images. (These will be re-shot with better lighting when I have more than 5 minutes :)
She’s a Giant Cypress W. I took her for a proper test ride today, almost all the way to the Johnson St bridge.
It was a sunny afternoon, perfect for a ride. I managed to stay upright, and even closed my mouth before hitting the cloud of gnats. (Ha) I may have given my lungs and knees a bit of a shock, but it was fun, even if I only went 7km round trip. Next time I’ll try to make it further. :)
