I made a lazy paella for dinner for the first time. (Lazy mostly because I had most of the ingredients, and read most of the instructions.) I only had prawns, but next time I want to try it with chorizo and maybe mussels. Yummm. I took one blurry photo, but it’s not very nice looking, so have a look at some cell phone photos of my garden instead.
Those gloriously huge leaves belong to a spaghetti squash. I know a container isn’t ideal, but it’s larger than it looks; the leaves are just that big. I’ve never grown squash before, so much like everything I do in the garden it’s an experiment. The campanula below didn’t bloom at all last year. This spring it was looking very green so I put it in it’s own large container and it gave me flowers finally! I love the little bell shapes. I wish I could put everything in a proper bed, but until we own our own place things will have to live in containers. I will take what garden I can get!
