With the Sigma Art 50mm 1.4. Cat edition.

(The wood stack is my ex-worktable and yes it’s been there too long shhhh)

morning

The sunrise this morning knocked it out of the park!

I looked out the window as the coffee was brewing and saw the blush of purple – and immediately grabbed the camera and ran outside in my slippers.

Worth it.

Air

Sometimes, when your brain is stuck and you need to energize, stepping outside for a deep breath is the best solution.

But then you see the neighbour’s dog and I mean look, you can’t turn down those eyes. You pretty much have to go play with them for a bit.

And you can’t neglect the kitties and it turns out that Front Door Sunbeam Season has returned. (Tobers is a very happy cat.)

(She has adopted this pillow and now we’re never gonna get it back. Who needs pet beds?)

March 19

I would say life got away from me, but I think it’s more like it dragged me on behind it. I’ve managed to keep up, but now I need to catch my breath.

I’ve worked on my Weekender sweater in little bits over the last month and a half-ish. It’s seen me through a website re-work (over at Rosemary Media), Eric’s work trip, a visit with family, and the beginnings of spring.

As soon as I put it on I fell in love.

I used Brooklyn Tweed Shelter in Plume and it’s the perfect almost-tweedy rich purple with flecks of colour. The ease in the body means that it’s going to be the best spring sweater – enough to keep me warm without overheating.

I’m gonna make another one.

Just like that, it’s February

So much has happened in our families already! Death, birth, new projects, new pets.

Sunrises, sunsets, sunshine and snowfall.

I’ve knit several projects:

Beeswax Cowl for my MiL

Carbeth Sweater for myself (It’s gotten A TON of wear already)

All this to say, holy crap 2019, you’re really showing up.
🤘
